Academia Buenos Aires offers its students a full program in medical Spanish, allowing medical students, physicians, medical interpreters and other health professionals to improve or expand their use of Spanish. The program provides participants with the linguistic skill set to maximize their chances in an increasingly demanding job market and to improve physician-patient interactions with Spanish-speaking patients.

The medical Spanish classes can be taken as individual classes (on-campus or online) or in small groups (in case of similar levels and objectives). The student determines the amount of hours and the subjects he/she wants to work on. This type of classes is highly personalized. We recommend to take at least two hours of classes per day.
It is not necessary to have an advanced Spanish knowledge, however, we suggest that participants start this course after having reached an A2 level.
We recommend to combine the medical Spanish course with general Spanish classes (group or individual lessons), as the medical Spanish does not include any training about the language itself.
The program offers the specific linguistic knowledge in the field of medicine required by students and practitioners. Depending on the needs of the student it can be focused on particular vocabulary, practice-oriented knowledge, health system in Argentina, medical records or instructions.
The student can choose a combination of this course with a volunteering in the projects and organizations in the field of primary medical attention. This program consists of a minimum of 4 weeks in the organization and the fee varies depending on the chosen project.
